Coach Mike Louden said that after the meet he was pleased with the results from the first meet.
"We knew going into it we had a lot of inexperienced guys, so expectations honestly, were just getting familiar with the 5K race itself, and establishing a starting point to build on going forward."
Coach Louden stated that he was pleased with the disciplined races that Conley, Junior Nick Williams, and Freshman Noah Smith ran despite the hot and humid weather conditions throughout the race. Coach Louden also pointed out that Senior Bryan Woods stepped up big for the team despite limited training due to him attending Army Basic Training this summer. Coach Louden commented on Woods' performance stating, " Truly remarkable despite the limited training coming into the meet"
The Tigers will compete again August 30 running in the Logan County Meet being held at the Ohio Caverns beginning at 5:00pm
