The Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Competitive Balance initiative announced last week for the fall sports football, boys and girls soccer and girls volleyball seems to have sustained statewide prior sentiment: private-school coaches are against it and public-school coaches favor it.
No breaking news in that. Students who reside outside a designated school district take more of a multiplier factor hit for a school’s student enrollment. OHSAA Commissioner Dr. Dan Ross said Competitive Balance is tweakable.
