Urbana- January 24th,2017... The Mechanicsburg Indian Bowling Teams traveled to Urbana to take on West Liberty Salem Tigers. Before the match began, the two teams came together to show a sign of support for the students at West Liberty Salem after last weeks tragic events at the school. Even though, they are competitors and rivals, they are friends and a community.
In a show of support, The Indians all wore Orange in a show of unity.
On the Ladies side, after the two games of regular bowling, the Lady Indians held a lead of 833 to 744. During the 4 games of Baker bowling, the Indians forged ahead and bowled several good games to take the match 2370 to 1926. In Individual bowling for the Indians Miranda Keene 140-165(305), Amanda Coulter 138-158(296), Skyler Herron 172-164(336) Madison Boggs 161-147(308) and Match Medalist Ally Hosier 222-229(451). For the Lady Tigers, Ashlyn Parks 108, Rachel 152, Lauren Hostetler 132, Sarah (Sue) 98, Hailee Clifford 139-158(297), Sarah Daulton 131, Jillian 145, Erica McCall 234-140(374).
On the Mens side of the alley, The Indians took a commanding lead over the Tigers after 2 games of regular bowling 1699 to 1404. The Tigers hung tuff during the Baker games, but the lead was too much to over come. The Indians took the match 2422 to 2025.
